Warzone, the battle royale game in the Call of Duty franchise, now supports 120 frames per second on Xbox Series X.
Infinity Ward added the option to the Series X version via an update without an official announcement. It was also not mentioned in the patch notes for the update beforehand.
In the description on the Microsoft Store you can now read that both Warzone and Modern Warfare can be played at 120 frames per second. Digital Foundry reports that 120 fps is now indeed the goal, and that the game now runs between 100 and 120 fps.
On PlayStation 5, Warzone still seems to run at 60 frames per second, according to a test by Digital Foundry. It is not clear whether this will change in the future.
